Rules for Authors
Editorial office of the journal "Доклады Российской академии наук. Математика, информатика, процессы управления / Doklady Mathematics" asks authors to follow the rules given below and hopes that the authors will read them before sending a message to the editor.
Works completed without following these rules will be returned without consideration.
- Articles must have members of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) among the authors or have a full RAS member's representation, if required.
- Authors should identify the section in which they recommend placing the article and the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC) index.
- Manuscripts of articles and accompanying materials are currently uploaded to the Editorial and Publishing System of the Russian Center for Science Information or sent to the editorial office by e-mail danmath@pran.ru. You don't need to submit the article paper version to the editorial office.
- On a separate page, you should indicate the full name (in Russian and English) of the institution where the research was performed; surnames, first names and patronymics of all authors; postal code, address, phone numbers and E-mail of each co-author. It is also necessary to indicate the author with whom the editorial board will conduct negotiations and correspondence.
- Returning the manuscript to the author for revision does not mean that it is accepted for publication. After receiving the revised text, the manuscript is reviewed again by the editorial board. The author should immediately return the revised text together with the original version, as well as with a response to all comments.
- The journal publishes articles of no more than 25,000 characters. This volume includes text, tables, and bibliography (no more than 25 sources). It is recommended to include in the list of references current journal articles published in the last 2 years, including in the journal "Доклады Российской академии наук / Doklady". The number of drawings should not exceed eight. Parts designated as a, b, etc. are considered different drawings. You should not repeat data in text, tables, or graphs. Drawings should be made clearly, in a format that provides clarity in the transmission of all details.
- The electronic version should include the text of the article in the following format .tex and .pdf (doc, if the article does not include a complex mathematical set):
- title of the article; full name of each author of the article; affiliation; abstract; keywords; the article text; list of references; figures (separate files in jpeg or tif format);
- in English: title of the article; full name of each author of the article; affiliation; abstract; keywords.
- The text of the article should be carefully edited and signed by all authors. When using abbreviations, it is necessary to give their interpretation; you should limit yourself to generally accepted abbreviations and not introduce new ones without sufficient justification.
- Acknowledgements should be listed separately from funding sources.
- Financing of work. You can specify information about grants and any other financial support for research.
- It is mandatory to indicate a conflict of interest – any relationship or area of interest that could directly or indirectly affect your work or make it biased.
- Authors can attach their own version of the English translation of the article or give necessary explanations for the translator.
- In formulas, you should avoid cumbersome notation. Numbered formulas should be formed as separate paragraphs, and the formula number must be placed at the right edge.
- References in the text to the cited literature are given in square brackets, for example, [1]. In the list, all works are listed in the order of citation. Self-citation (i.e. references to articles by the authors of the manuscript) is allowed in the amount of no more than 30% of the total number of references to sources.
For books: last name and initials of the author, full title of the book, place of publication, publisher, year of publication, volume or issue, and total number of pages.
References to books translated into Russian should be accompanied by references to the original publications and output data.
For periodicals: last name and initials of the author, article title, journal title, year of publication, volume, issue, first and last pages of the article.
It is advisable to indicate the DOI index of the cited article. Links to unpublished works are not allowed.
Authors are recommended to use no more than 20% of references to articles (regardless of authorship) published earlier in the journal "Доклады Российской академии наук. Математика, информатика, процессы управления / Doklady Mathematics".
- The editorial office draws the authors' attention to the fact that the journal "Доклады Российской академии наук. Математика, информатика, процессы управления / Doklady Mathematics" is a media of general scientific information and, in this regard, asks authors to present the material in a clear and accessible form.
- Appearance of a short message in "Доклады Российской академии наук. Математика, информатика, процессы управления / Doklady Mathematics" does not prevent the subsequent publication of the extended version in another periodical, in compliance with all ethical standards. Simultaneous submission of the manuscript to "Doklady" and to another journal is not allowed.
- In accordance with the new international rules, the authors will be checked for compliance with the rights to borrowed materials, the absence of plagiarism and re-publication.
- Manuscripts are subject to anonymous external review by leading domestic and foreign experts and are recommended for publication by the Editorial Board of the journal on a competitive basis.
- It is important to follow the rules of publication ethics and avoid the following violations: 1) fabrication and falsification of data, i.e. their forgery or modification; 2) plagiarism and self-plagiarism-copying without proper citation of at least one sentence from someone else's or even their own previously published manuscript, as well as figures and tables; 3) multiple submission of the manuscript to several journals at the same time; 4) redundant publications based on the same experiment. 5) inappropriate attribution, when the author's team includes people who did not contribute to the work, or, conversely, people who made a significant contribution are not included. The editorial board reserves the right to check the article for incorrect citations.
- With the exception of citations in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation and the use of materials published under an open access license, any material that the author borrows from other works must obtain permission from the copyright holder and attach it to the manuscript. As a rule, the copyright holder of journal articles is not the author, but the publisher of the journal in which the material is published.
- All citations used in the article must be provided in the original language and accompanied by a corresponding link.
- For a more complete description of the research, additional materials (audio and video files, presentations, additional tables and figures, etc.) can be attached to the article.
